Sunridge Woods was built approximately 10 years ago, as a residential estate.  It is just off the Ronald Reagan Parkway, a short drive from the I4.

We normally arrive at our house at about 6 pm on a Saturday evening and as we drive through to our home, there are children playing in their front yards, people walking their dogs, gardening, jogging,  - all the things that a happen in a genuine community.   The Homeowners Association has strict codes on the external upkeep of all the homes from the colour of your house, to whether you can fence or not.

We have permanent neighbours both opposite and next (well 30' away!) to us (on only one side - we have no near neighbours the other side), who keep an eye on our property, without being intrusive.

You will notice that the newer properties being built have very little land, some having neighbours only 6' away, making privacy hard to maintain.  We could fence ours, but it would restrict the view and is totally unnecessary.  Many of the new estates are also vacation villas only, which necessitates the gating of the community.  There are no permanent residents to keep an eye on things and report any odd things going on.
